Chennai: SDPI, the political outfit of the banned PFI, has demanded a ban on The Kerala Story. The party’s Tamil Nadu President, Nellai Mubarak said that the content in the movie is such that it will disturb the peaceful environment prevailing in the state.
Nellai Mubarak announced that if the film is released in any theater in Tamil Nadu, the party will protest against it.
He accused the movie of making the lives of Muslims in India more difficult. He continued that the film contains lies against the Muslim community. The movie is trying to create fear in the society by spreading wrong information on the culture and traditions of the community. The intention is to create communal hatred and religious riots to destroy the peace, accused Mubarak.
The SDPI leader also warned not to give approval to such movies in the name of freedom of expression. Without speaking about the issues faced by the minority Muslim community, fake campaigns are done. Therefore, politically motivated movies like these must be banned.
He announced that if the movie is screened his party will organize protests against it.
