New Delhi: PM Modi is set to attend the Bastille Day Parade in France as a guest of honour on the 14th of July 2023. Confirmed by the Ministry of External Affairs on Friday, PM Modi has officially accepted the invitation of French President, Emmanuel Macron, marking the occasion of the 25th year anniversary of India-France Strategic Partnership.
The Ministry said in the statement that, Indian Army contingents will be participating in the march along with their French counterparts.
Prime Minister’s visit is seen as the next step in improving our partnership with France and will affect the strategic, cultural, scientific and economic significance of our industries.
The statement has also said that this visit will be of historic importance, enabling them to respond to challenges of climate change, loss of biodiversity and sustainable development. India and France have always shared the goals of peace and security. Always ensuring to uphold the objectives lay down by the United Nations.
