Patiala: When most of the Congress leaders chose a mild stand against Pakistan for the Pulwama attacks, the Congress Chief Minister of Punjab, Captain Amarinder Singh took a strong stand against the killing of Indian soldiers by terrorists.
The Chief Minister said that if Pakistan fails to capture JeM leader Masood Azhar then India will capture him.
Reacting against Prime Minister Imran Khan’s statement asking for proof of Pakistani involvement, Amarinder Singh asked whether the bodies of the slain officers should be sent to Pakistan as proof.
The former Captain of Indian Army said that the whole world knows that Masood Azhar is in Pakistan and that attacks were planned on Pakistani soil. He said that every day Indian soldiers are being killed and asked who was killing them.
Amarinder Singh also asked what Pakistan had done when evidence was given to Pakistan in the 26/11 attack in Mumbai.
The Congress leader’s strong remarks come at a time when many leaders of the grand old party were making insensitive statements against the security forces and the Central Government. Most of the Congress leaders either favored dialogue with Pakistan or took a mild stand against that country.
