Tokyo: Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymr Zelenskky on the sidelines of G7 Summit in Japan. This is the first meeting between the two leaders since the start of the war between Russia and Ukraine.
During the meeting, it is believed that the leaders will discuss about the current situation of the war and will focus on diplomatic solution to the conflict. Since the war broke out in February 2022, Modi had communicated to both Russian President Vladmir Putin and Ukranian President Zelenskky.
India had urged a return to diplomacy and dialogue in the ongoing conflict between the two countries.
Narendra Modi will also have bilateral meetings with leaders of various member states attending the G7 Summit.
