Bharuch: ‘The Kerala Story’ has been making waves across the country and around the world with its bold narrative that exposes the truth of love-jihad. The movie has been instrumental in educating many women of the dangers of love-jihad and the modus operandi of radicals in converting innocent girls with promise of love.
Now a young woman from Gujarat has ditched her newly-wed husband after he tried to convert her after marriage. The incident occurred in Bharuch in Gujarat. A Muslim man, Athique Sayeed, from Bharuch area married a Hindu woman last year. However, after the marriage, he began pressurizing her to convert to Islam and began torturing her.
After the woman watched the movie ‘The Kerala Story’, she said that she did not want to live with Athique anymore and returned back to her home. However, Athique began pursuing her after she left. He posted his picture on social media wearing a saffron tilak and claiming that he has accepted Hindu religion.
Athique is now claiming that he converted to Hinduism after he saw a dream of Lord Shiva. However, the woman is saying that this is his ploy to take her back home and to convert her.
The woman said that she understood her mistake after watching the movie ‘The Kerala Story’. She told her parents that she had made a mistake and that she would never live with Athique.
