Amritsar: As per recent reports, Border Security Force (BSF) officials have reported successfully intercepted and shot down a Pakistani drone that was attempting to transport narcotics across the Wagah-Attari border. The vigilant BSF personnel in Amritsar took immediate action to neutralise the drone after it violated Indian airspace.
According to official sources, the confiscated consignment of suspected narcotics weighs approximately 3.2 kg. The determined efforts of the BSF have resulted in averting a potential threat to national security and preventing the illegal transportation of drugs.
Further information about the incident is yet to be received.
This is the second similar incident that has taken place near the Pakistani border. Earlier in the month of May, the BSF shot down a Pakistani drone carrying narcotics and also arrested a person in connection with this who was carrying 3.2 kg of drugs with him.
