Kaniyakumari: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said that ‘New India’ has given full freedom to security forces to tackle terrorism. He compared this with the previous UPA government who failed to retaliate after the Mumbai attack, even after the security forces asked for permission to attack Pakistan.
He blamed those critics who had opposed the recent airstrikes and asked them to stand united with India and with the armed forces.
Narendra Modi said that every Indian is proud of IAF pilot Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman and reminded that he is from the state of Tamil Nadu.
He also took a dig at Congress and other opposition leaders saying, “People wanted honesty, not dynasty. People wanted development, not decay. People wanted progress, not policy paralysis.”
The Prime Minister, who was in Kanyakumari to lay the foundations of several government projects said that 1.1 crore farmers have already been benefitted from PM-KISAN program.
