New Delhi: In a tweet today, the Union Textiles Minister, Smriti Irani has come down heavily against Congress President Rahul Gandhi’s criticism against Narendra Modi’s speech in Amethi.
The Union Minister tweeted that Rahul Gandhi was too scared about development happening in Amethi that he got his facts wrong while criticizing the Prime Minister. She said that Narendra Modi was inaugurating a Joint Venture between India and Russia and not the ordnance factory itself.
Earlier, Rahul Gandhi accused Narendra Modi of lying and said that the Amethi ordinance factory was inaugurated by the Gandhi scion in 2010.
Yesterday, the Prime Minister inaugurated a Joint Venture between India and Russia to produce 7.5 lakh units of Ak-203 rifles at Korwa ordnance factory in Amethi. He said that the city will now be known for AK-203 and not for the Gandhi family.
Narendra Modi said that the rifles will help Jawans to combat Naxals and terrorists more effectively. The rifles will replace the Army’s INSAS and AK-47 rifles.
