There is more to come for the Vande series of trains. Centre is going to introduce Vande Sadharan trains for its people. According to reports, the public will be able to enjoy the Vande Sadharan train service by end of this year. It is also reported that Ernakulam-Guwahati route has been included in the selected nine routes of Vande Sadharan trains services. Reports states, the non-AC Vande Sadharan trains will be manufactured at ICF Chennai at an estimated cost of Rs 65 crores. In order to achieve effective acceleration, the Vande Sadharan train will feature 24 LHB coaches and two locomotives from both ends of the train.
Features of Vande Sadharan Trains
Vande Sadharan trains are going to be non-AC trains with sleepers, and general service for the passengers at affordable prices in India. Vande Sadharan train is expected to provide modern facilities including a passenger information system, charging points near seats, bio-vacuum toilets among others. Apart from this, the train will also have an automatic door system. Multiple CCTV cameras will be installed on every coach of the train to capture every moment on board.
Vande Sadharan project aims to cater wider public to make their long train journeys less expensive. With this, it will become easier than ever for millions of passengers to travel comfortably.
