New Delhi: Congress Party has not yet recovered from the shock as their veteran leader, spokesman and close aide to Sonia Gandhi has left  the party and joined BJP. Tom Vadakkan has accepted the party membership from Union Minister Ravi Sankar Prasad at BJP party head quarters in New Delhi this afternoon.

While expressing his views on Congress,Tom Vadakkan said that there are lot of issues in Congress. A party must understand the pulse of people. What is the real situation of common workers? Your narrative is negativism. What have you done for the minorities in India? Self- respecting people cannot continue in Congress. Can never cope up with the anti national stand of Congress.

Tom Vadakkan added that he is leaving Congress party in protest against the stand they took after Pulwama attack. “If a political party takes such a position that is against the country, then I’m left with no option but to leave the party. Whoever loves my country, I do support them. And BJP has proved that love and patriotism”,he said.

While speaking exclusively to Janam TV, Tom Vadakkan said that party given position is not an issue. Congress had appointed me as Secretary and spokesman. A party should know the situation of its workers. No one has inquired, no one has even time to care about common workers, he criticised.

When asked about the position of Congress party in Kerala, he said that Kerala needs development and prosperity, but no one understands what all the leaders are doing just because of groupism. Tom Vadakkan also hinted that there is a flow, more and more people from Congress will come to BJP. He also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP Chief Amit Shah.
