New Delhi: A ten-month old You Tube video is going viral in social media where a United States based Pastor, Chris Hodges, claims that 1 lakh Hindus got converted to Christianity in one week. He admits that Narendra Modi and RSS have made conversion difficult. But still, the church is achieving its goal of conversion, he said.
Chris Hodges, the founder of ‘Church of the Highlands’ also says that Northern India has one of the largest concentration of ‘lost people’ and says that the Prime Minister kicked out Christian agencies and the organization is trying to make India 100% Hindu.
The BJP-led government has brought stringent measures to prevent the nefarious activities of many church organizations to convert Hindus in India. The government revoked licenses of numerous organizations, including Christian groups for violating the 2010 Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA).
However, the pastor does not mention that these organizations were kicked out for not following the rules of a sovereign country.
Chris Hodges also asks the ‘believers’ to pray for Christians in India as they are undergoing great persecution. He wrongly tries to portray India as being intolerant and falsely claims that Christians are being persecuted in this country, without any facts.
In the You Tube video he claims that 1,12,124 Hindus got converted to Christianity in just one week.
The pastor’s video is proof that Christian organizations are working tirelessly to convert Hindus en masse to Christianity. Their main focus is the Northern regions of India where Christianity is not widespread. Many NGOs work for underprivileged and poor people in India but hide their true aim of conversion. These NGOs are really the off shoots of missionary organizations.
