New Delhi [India], July 16 (ANI): Om Prakash Rajbhar, the founder leader of the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party, formally joined the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government after a meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the national capital on July 14.
In anticipation of the crucial Lok Sabha elections next year, Rajbhar, accompanied by a two-member delegation, met the Union Home Minister and expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for embracing like-minded parties.
“We met Union Minister Amit Shah on July 14 and deliberated on a range of issues. We also resolved to fight the 2024 Lok Sabha elections together. I want to thank PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and (Uttar Pradesh) Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for taking us along.
Amit Shah welcomed Rajbhar’s party into the NDA fold, stating that their inclusion would strengthen the ruling alliance at the Centre in preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Rajbhar currently serves as an MLA from the Zahoorabad Assembly constituency in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh.
Earlier on Saturday, Chirag Paswan, the chief of Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), mentioned that a final decision on attending the NDA meeting or formally joining the ruling alliance at the Centre before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections would be made after consulting with all party leaders and workers.
BJP National President JP Nadda, on the same day, invited Hindustani Awam Morcha President Jitan Ram Manjhi to the NDA meeting scheduled for July 18.
This development follows former Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi’s meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi, where he announced his decision to rejoin the NDA.
The upcoming meeting in the national capital will be chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and is being organized to commemorate the completion of nine years of the central government under his leadership.
