Jaipur: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president JP Nadda held a core committee meeting with party leaders from Rajasthan on Saturday. The meeting was attended by prominent figures, including Union Ministers Pralhad Joshi and Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, State Unit Chief CP Joshi, former CM Vasundhara Raje Scindia, and other senior Rajasthan leaders.
Nadda’s one-day visit to the state commenced with prayers at the Moti Dungri Ganesh Temple in Jaipur before the crucial meeting. During the visit, the BJP also released a list of its central office bearers, with the appointments of new national general secretaries, including Bandi Sanjay Kumar from Telangana and Rajya Sabha MP Radha Mohan Agarwal.
The party’s preparations for the upcoming Assembly elections in states like Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Telangana were highlighted through the announcement. The list also mentioned changes in roles for several key members, as well as the addition of new office bearers.
A previous meeting chaired by JP Nadda with the party’s national general secretaries focused on various critical aspects, such as upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the NDA meeting, outreach strategies, and electoral battles in five states. The “Maha Jan Shampark Abhiyan” progress and outreach efforts were reviewed during this gathering.
The BJP aims to expand its organisational presence and activities to connect effectively with the masses in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, and Mizoram, considering the assembly elections ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. Discussions about meeting with members of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) were also on the agenda, emphasising the party’s strategic planning and preparations for the upcoming elections.
