Pulwama: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has initiated a series of raids across several sites within the Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir. These actions, conducted on Friday, are in connection with investigations into potential terror links and cases of terror financing, according to officials.
The ongoing raids are part of a broader inquiry into the acquisition of funds to support the activities of terrorist groups. More information regarding the raids is anticipated to be disclosed in due course.
In a previous development, on Tuesday, the NIA carried out extensive search operations across four districts in the Valley, pertaining to a case involving the alleged funding of terrorism by non-governmental organisations (NGOs). The targeted searches encompassed seven distinct locations in Srinagar, Budgam, Kupwara, and Pulwama districts. The focus of these searches was on properties affiliated with trusts and individuals associated with the Jammu Kashmir Coalition of Civil Societies (JKCCS), an NGO accused of raising funds for banned terrorist organisations, as stated by the NIA.
