New Delhi: The investigation of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) is exposing the Chinese money flow pumped in to destabilize India and to spread Chinese agenda in the country.
The ED found that the US-based billionaire turned activist, Nevil Roy Singham, gave Rs.97.32 lakhs to CPI(M) member handling the IT Cell of the communist party. Neville Roy Sigham has close connection with the Chinese Communist Party and is working as their agent to spread Chinese agenda across the world.
The money was handed to Bappaditya Sinha, who is handling the cyber wing of the CPI(M). The money exchange was arranged through NewsClick Editor-in-Chief of Prabir Purkayastha.
In its investigation the ED found that Teesta Setalvad was paid Rs.40 lakhs and also media personality, Paranjoy Guha Thakurta got Rs.72 lakhs through NewsClick. Interestingly, Paranjoy Guha was a strong critic of Adani Group and was instrumental in spreading the lie that Modi government was unduly favoring Adani.
The money was also given to Maoists fighting against India. Maoist and accused in Bhima Koregaon case, Goutham Navlakha got Rs.17 lakhs.
Those who received the Chinese money were directed to spread the agenda of the Chinese Communist Party. In this, Teesta Setalvad, had spread fake accusations against the government to get media attention. Likewise, many false accusations against the government were backed by hidden agendas.
Media persons were given Chinese money to peddle anti-national narratives to the people. The pro-left NewsClick worked all these years with this hidden agenda.
Meanwhile, the ED’s investigation into the communication between CPI(M) leader, Prakash Karat, and Neville Roy Singham is progressing. Karat’s email id is also being probed. NewsClick is also facing legal proceedings for receiving funds from China to spread anti-India propaganda.
The nephew of Prakash and Brinda Karat, Vijay Prashad, is also under the scanner for receiving funds from Neville Roy Singham. Vijay Prashad is a Marxist historian and Executive Director of Tricontinental, a Marxist research and academic organization working to help left intellectuals across the world.
P Sainath, the left journalist, is also said to have close connection with the controversial businessman and Chinese agent, Neville Roy Singham. He is working as senior fellow at Tricontinental.
