The lunar landscape now boasts three distinct Indian probes, each contributing to our understanding of Earth’s cosmic neighbour. These include Chandrayaan-3, the Lander, and the Propulsion Module, together forming a constellation of scientific exploration in the lunar expanse.
The successful detachment of the lander transpired at a distance of 100 km from the moon’s surface. The Vikram lander is set to find its resting place within a targeted area spanning 9.6 sq. kilometres on the lunar South Pole. This intricate manoeuvre is meticulously designed to facilitate a soft landing.
