New Delhi: Following the Delhi seat allocation controversy, a fresh clash has ignited between the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on the national stage. The recent statement by Kejriwal, suggesting the need for a change in power within the Congress-governed state of Chhattisgarh, has sparked a new wave of disputes. As both parties engage in verbal exchanges, tensions between them have escalated.
Arvind Kejriwal’s commentary revolved around the inadequate state of schools in Chhattisgarh, emphasising the necessity for an administrative overhaul to elevate their standards. Allegedly, numerous schools are in a state of disrepair, and some even remain closed. During a public event in Raipur, Kejriwal advocated for a change in governance to enhance the educational system in the state.
However, the Congress promptly responded to Kejriwal’s assertion. Pawan Khera, a prominent Congress leader, countered by highlighting that Chhattisgarh should not be equated with Delhi. He pointed out that Delhi had shown remarkable progress during the Congress’s tenure, outpacing other states. Khera also expressed willingness to engage in discussions with the AAP on this matter, if deemed necessary.
This latest bout of conflict between the two parties stems from a prior disagreement involving Congress leader Alka Lamba’s stance on seat distribution in the Lok Sabha elections. Alka had stated that the Congress would independently contest all seven seats in Delhi and was opposed to seat sharing.
