Lucknow: Champat Rai, the General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Temple Trust, proudly declared that the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya stands as India’s most cherished temple, marking the culmination of a struggle that spanned over five centuries. The arduous journey was undertaken by multiple generations, and Rai attributed the expedited progress of the temple construction to the unwavering determination of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Drawing parallels, Rai likened Narendra Modi to a leader as dedicated to Sanatana Dharma as Prithviraj Chauhan was in his time. The creation of the Ram Temple stands as a monumental achievement for the nation, symbolising a significant milestone in India’s journey towards true sovereignty. Rai emphasised that Ram Temple’s significance transcends the three-decade-long legal battle, as it carries a history of 500 years, reimagined and revitalised for reconstruction.
This accomplishment was not merely the result of lengthy legal proceedings; comprehensive research and excavations played a pivotal role. Coupled with the patience, dedication, and prayers of patriots, this collective effort became the driving force behind the endeavour. People from all walks of life contributed to the temple construction fund, even including participation from unexpected quarters. The Mizoram Chief Minister, for instance, presented a contribution at his official residence. Notably, individuals from communist, Buddhist, and Muslim backgrounds have also been part of the fund-collection effort.
The Teertha Kshetra Trust, established in accordance with the Supreme Court’s directives, is now on the cusp of fulfilling its mission. The creation of the Ram Temple is poised to transform Ayodhya into a cosmopolitan city. Rai expressed with profound conviction that this grand temple in Ayodhya will radiate the essence of dharma (righteousness) to the global community.
