ISRO is extending an exceptional opportunity to the public to witness a momentous occasion: the soft landing of Chandrayaan 3 on the moon. The live broadcast of this significant event is scheduled to begin at 5:47 PM IST. Viewers can tune in through ISRO’s official website, YouTube channel, and Facebook page.
In a collaborative effort to facilitate this experience, ISRO has organised a live viewing option on the DD National Channel. Schools and scientific institutions have also been equipped with large screens for a collective live broadcast.
The anticipated soft landing of the Chandrayaan 3 probes on the lunar surface is set to take place at 6:04 PM today. The meticulous landing procedures will commence at 5:47 PM, culminating in the landing on the lunar terrain 19 minutes later.
The directives for the lander will originate from the Mission Operations Complex situated at the ISRO Telemetry Tracking and Command Network in Bengaluru. Subsequent to its successful landing, a side panel of the lander will unfold, revealing an exit ramp for the essential Pragyan rover. This six-wheeled rover holds significant importance for the Chandrayaan mission. Following a four-hour gap after the Vikram lander’s touchdown, the Pragyan rover will venture onto the lunar surface, acting as the primary transmitter of data back to Earth.
