New Delhi: The Election Commissioner Sunil Arora visited Bharat Electronics Limited, Bangalore. BEL has established state-of-the-art secure manufacturing facilities for manufacture of digital certified EVM / VVPATs as per the advise of Technical Experts Committee of ECI. Shri Sunil Arora also reviewed the status of Progress of production of EVMs and VVPATs.
Election Commissioner Arora visited BEL factory complex where he was shown the different stages of manufacturing process of EVMs and VVPATs.
During his visit Sunil Arora inaugurated one of the newly set up secured manufacturing facility for EVM production at Military communication Strategic Business Unit at BEL Bangalore Complex.
Earlier Arora also inaugurated a three day workshop cum training Programme for the Chief Electoral Officers. Braille EPICards were distributed for the first time in Karnataka to four visually impaired voters. Umesh Sinha, Senior Deputy Election Commissioner, Sanjiv Kumar Chief Electoral Officer Karnataka were present at the function.
