New Delhi: Minister of State (MoS) for External Affairs, V Muraleedharan, said that the External Affairs Ministry and Bharat’s Embassy in Kuwait intervened in the arrest of Indian nurses in Kuwait. He said that the release of the nurses would be made possible very soon.
V Muraleedharan revealed that a total of thirty-four nurses from Bharat were arrested and out of these nineteen nurses hail from Kerala.
He said that the authorities informed that the institution where the nurses worked did not have the permission to run a hospital or a clinic. Bharat’s Embassy in Kuwait is in constant contact with the Kuwaiti authorities concerning the issue.
The minister added that arrangements are made for feeding mothers among the nurses, who are incarcerated in the jail, to feed their babies.
