New Delhi: Phase four of the 2019 Lok Sabha election started at 7 in the morning in 9 states.945 candidates are contesting from 72 constituencies in this phase. Maharashtra and Odisha has the final phase of voting today. Polling of Odisha’s Padkura has been postponed to May 19 due to BJD candidate’s demise.
Meanwhile, clashes between TMS workers and security forces reported from various parts of West Bengal.
Ananthnag constituency in Kashmir goes for the second phase today, voting is progressing in Kulgham district.
Parts of Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal will vote today. Elections for 42 Assembly seats in Odisha and bye-polls for Chhindwara in Madhya Pradesh, Nighasan in Uttar Pradesh and Krishnaganj in West Bengal will also take place.
