Thiruananthapuram: The state will witness heavy to very heavy rain and gusts of winds in the coming couple of days. Yellow alert has been announced in seven districts as Meteorological Department warns of intense weather change within 24 hours. Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikkode, Wayanad, Ernakulam, Idukki and Thrissur are the places that may face the worst form of winds. High sea-waves with a height of 2 to 2.5 metres and with a maximum of even 4.8 metres are expected in the coastlines.
