Bhopal: CPI(M) is relentless in its pursuit to malign the image of Hinduism. In its latest Hindu bashing episode the General Secretary himself has come out to say that Hindus are violent and to make his point he gave the examples of killings and wars in Ramayan and Mahabharat.
CPI(M) General Secretary, Sitram Yechury, also said that kings and principalities fought wars against each other and so Hindus cannot claim that it is a religion without violence.
The communist leader was trying to criticize the nomination of Sadhvi Pragya Thakur in Bhopal constituency, but ended up picturing Hinduism as a religion filled with violence, death, killings and wars. He also criticized the BJP for going to its core agenda of abolition of Article 370 and 35A, construction of Ram Mandir, Uniform Civil Code, and NRC.
Replying to the controversial statements made by Yechury, the Shiv Sena leader, Sanjay Raut, said that that if Yechury has a problem with Hinduism then he should change his first name ‘Sitaram’.
The Shiv Sena leader said, ” “If Sitaram Yechury calls Ramayan and Mahabharat ‘Hindu violence’, he should remove Sitaram from his name. He should also change their candidate Kanhaiya Kumar’s name as his name is also Krishna’s name.”
Sanjay Raut also said that the holy epics speak about victory of good over evil and truth over falsehood. He also pointed out that the leftist might even interpret jawans fighting Pakistan is also violence. He asked if it was violence when we defend acts of terrorism from Pakistan.
He alleged that the General Secretary of Communist party has only one ideology and that is to attack Hindus and become the ‘premier secular person’.
