THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Leaders from across the country participated in a cleanliness drive on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for a nationwide cleanliness campaign on October 1. The initiative, known as the ‘Shramdaan for Cleanliness’ program, is part of the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ campaign.
As part of the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ campaign, an hour-long cleanliness program was organized across the country. Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President JP Nadda, and other prominent leaders also joined this campaign.
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel and Amit Shah actively participated in the campaign by cleaning the streets of Ahmedabad. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took part in Sitapur and engaged with the local community during the event.
In Kerala, Seva Bharati is leading cleaning activities in 3000 centers.
