New Delhi: The in-house inquiry panel of the Supreme Court said that it has not found any substance in the sexual harassment case against the Chief Justice, Ranjan Gogoi. The three-judge panel was looking into the complaint filed by a former employee at the Supreme Court.
The report of the inquiry panel, headed by Justice S. A. Bobde, said that it has not found any substance in the sexual allegations by the woman and has rejected the sexual harassment case.
The Secretary General of the apex court said that the report of the of the committee will not be made public. However, the copy of the report was sent to the Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi.
The Supreme Court has said that a plea seeking CBI probe into an alleged conspiracy to frame the Chief Justice in a sexual harassment case will be taken by the court in due course.
The woman who lodged the complaint was asked to dispose in front of the inquiry committee. The Chief Justice vehemently denied all her statements given to the panel.
