New Delhi: A video clip has come out in which former Border Security Force (BSF) soldier Tej Bahadur Yadav commenting that he will kill Prime Minister Narendra Modi if given Rs. 50 crore. ‘Times Now’ which revealed the video has not guaranteed the authenticity of the video.
Times Now reports that the video is made two years back.
Meanwhile, Tej Bahadur Yadav confirmed that the video is of himself but said that there is conspiracy regarding it. Tej Bahadur Yadav submitted his nomination to contest from Varanasi against Narendra Modi on BSP ticket. However, his nomination was cancelled because he failed to provide details about why he was discharged from the BSF.
It must be noted that the video surfaced on a day that Tej Bahadur approached the Supreme Court against the rejection of his nomination papers.
The BJP has come down heavily against the former soldier and the political parties that were backing him.
BJP MP Narasimha Rao said, “Parties like Congress rallied behind such anti-social elements rather than the government is a matter of concern. The fact that he was sought to be drafted as a candidate by SP, it really stuns us. We condemn it, we expect all agencies to take note of this threat.”
Yadav shot to limelight when his video, complaining of the food served to BSF soldiers, went viral. He was latter dismissed from BSF. Tej Bahadur Yadav again made headlines when he was chosen by Samajwadi Party to contest from Varanasi against Narendra Modi.
However, the present video casts shadows about the former soldier’s integrity and real motives.
