New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a press meet before the final phase of Lok Sabha elections. He told reporters that BJP government will return with full majority. He also thanked the people for their love and support towards him.
Narendra Modi said, “In my opinion, our full majority government will return to power, such a thing will happen after a long time in the country. It will happen after a long time in the country.”
He also hailed Indian democracy as the largest democracy in the world and said that it was everyone’s duty to showcase the strength of this democratic system to the world.
Speaking at the press conference he said, “It should be a matter of appreciation for the world, the variations we have in our democratic system.”
Amit Shah who accompanied the Prime Minister spoke about the situation in West Bengal. He said that around 80 BJP workers were killed under Mamata’s rule. He accused the media for not highlighting this fact in an appropriate manner.
While speaking about the issue of Pragya Singh Thakur, the party president said that the party’s disciplinary committee will take the appropriate steps. Already a show cause notice has been sent to her and she has been asked to reply within 10 days.
Amit Shah also hailed the different schemes begun by Modi government and said that the government had initiated 133 schemes during the 5 years in power.
Interestingly, Rahul Gandhi conducted a press meeting simultaneously.
This was the first time that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has met reporters in a press meet.
