New Delhi: After Exit Polls have predicted a huge majority for NDA in the 17th Lok Sabha, the BJP President, Amit Shah, will be hosting a dinner party for alliance leaders at New Delhi tomorrow.

The dinner party will be hosted at New Delhi’s Ashoka Hotel and leaders of the main alliance partners have agreed to attend it. Prominent among the leaders will be Bihar Chief Minister and JD(U) President, Nitish Kumar, Shiv Sena supremo, Uddhav Thackeray, and Lok Janshakti Party chief, Ram Vilas Paswan.

Key BJP leaders and Union Ministers will be conveying a meeting at BJP headquarters before the dinner party.

The dinner party hosted by Amit Shah will also be a venue to chalk out future strategies of the NDA alliance after the verdict is out on 23 May.

Most Exit Polls have given a resounding victory for the NDA across the Hindi heartland and in the Southern state of Karnataka.

Meanwhile, BJP workers are gearing up for massive celebrations on 23 May. The party is all set for a grand party at the BJP headquarters once the verdict is officially out. The mood is euphoric and every BJP workers are excited and confident.

After all, every worker from the booth level to the national President worked over time to ensure that a stable and strong NDA government is at the center for a second consecutive term.

With exit polls giving a thumbs down to UPA and the Mahagathbandhan, the mood in the opposition ranks is of confusion and gloom. DMK leader, Stalin, who was invited to a meeting by Sonia Gandhi before the last phase of elections were over, said that no such meet will take place on 23 May.

Sonia Gandhi was trying to unite the opposition in a  last minute effort to block the NDA from coming to power. She was counting on a hung parliament when the exit polls dashed her hopes of stitching up an alliance with regional heavy weights.

It seems that the meeting called by Sonia Gandhi has lost steam since the exit poll results came out yesterday.

Incidentally, the BJD has again given out hints that it is ready to join with NDA provided Odisha is given special status.
