NEW DELHI: Followed by the recent bomb blast at the Jehovah’s Witnesses Convention Center in Kalamassery, Kochi, Kerala, security measures in the national capital, Delhi, have been significantly increased.
A high-ranking police official, speaking anonymously, revealed that security has been strengthened in key areas, including markets, churches, metro stations, bus stands, railway stations, and other public spaces.
According to news sources, police teams have been directed to set up barricades along the border areas from both Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. Shadow police, patrolling units, and police control room personnel are on high alert with strict orders not to disregard any information.
Sources have also indicated that the Special Cell of the Delhi Police is maintaining constant communication with central agencies regarding the incident.
