Kolkata: The going is getting tough for Mamata Banerjee as her party MLAs are resigning to join the saffron party. Today 3 MLAs and 50-60 councillors quit the Trinamool Congress and crossed over to the BJP in the presence of BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya.
During the election campaign Narendra Modi had revealed that around 40 MLAs were in touch with him to join the BJP. After the elections results were out a BJP MP said that Mamata Banerjee’s government will fall within 90 days. Today’s defections seems to be the beginning of the end for Mamata’s authoritarian rule in West Bengal.
West Bengal’s law and order is slowly deteriorating after TMC unleashed widespread violence against BJP after the elections results were out. Today a bomb went off at a Vijay Rally of BJP supporters, which was thrown by TMC supporters, in Birbhum within Mayureswar police station limits.
