New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his deep sorrow over the loss of lives in Nepal following a powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 6.4 that resulted in significant damage. He assured Nepal of Bharat’s unwavering support and readiness to provide all necessary assistance.
PM Modi conveyed his heartfelt sentiments, stating, “Deeply saddened by loss of lives and damage due to the earthquake in Nepal. India stands in solidarity with the people of Nepal and is ready to extend all possible assistance. Our thoughts are with the bereaved families, and we wish the injured a quick recovery.”
The Prime Minister’s remarks come in the wake of a report by The Kathmandu Post, revealing that the earthquake, with a magnitude of 6.4, claimed the lives of 128 individuals and left at least 141 people injured during the late hours of Friday. Nepal’s Prime Minister, Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ has already departed for the affected regions to assess the situation.
