Patna: The former Chief Minister of Bihar and chief of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Lalu Prasad Yadav is suffering from anxiety and shock after his party was crushed in the recent Lok Sabha elections. The RJD, an ally of Congress, did not win in any constituency of the state.
Reports quotes RJD youth wing leader, Abhay Singh, said that Lalu Prasad Yadav was shocked about the results and was having anxiety problems.
Singh said, “Our prime concern is his health. He is shocked with results.”
The former Chief Minister’s doctor at the RIMS Hospital is saying that due to anxiety the RJD chief has skipped food for the last few days. His routine has completely went into a disarray and this has created problems for his treatment.
The doctor is advising Lalu Prasad Yadav to take his meals so that they can administer proper medicine and insulin to him.
It was expected that many top rung leaders of the party would visit him on 25 May. However, they did not turn up and instead the RJD chief was visited by local leaders signaling his losing grip over the party.
Lalu Prasad Yadav was once the undisputed leader of Bihar and reigned as the Chief Minister for 7 years in the state. However, his rule was marked by lawlessness and crime and he himself was implicated in the fodder scam.
When he resigned following allegations of corruption he ruled the state by installing his wife Rabri Devi as the Chief Minister of Bihar. In all the husband and wife duo ruled Bihar for a total of 15 years.
However, his rule came to an end and was replaced by Nitish Kumar’s JD(U), which has improved the law and order of the state over the years.
