New Delhi: One of the most influential and gifted ministers in the previous Narendra Modi’s government will not be part of the second term of the NDA government. Unfortunately, Arun Jaitley, who is suffering from many ailments, has written to the Prime Minister not to include him in any official positions.

The former Union Minister wrote,” I am writing to you to formally request you that I should be allowed a reasonable time for myself, my treatment and my health and, therefore, not be a part of any responsibility, for the present, in the new government.”

Arun Jaitley, who had kept away from Friday’s Union Cabinet meeting, wrote that he have some serious health challenges for the last 18 months. He said that his doctors had helped him emerge out of it.

The 66 year old leader also did not participate in the victory celebrations at the BJP headquarters. However, he had held a meeting of top finance ministry officials at his residence recently.

The BJP leader also said that it was a learning experience for him to have been a part of the Government led by the Prime Minister for the past five years.

Arun Jaitley, one of the tallest leaders in BJP, will be missed for his acumen in administration and his tact to deal with opposition and allies. He was a great asset to the BJP during the UPA era when he fought battles against the ruling party within the Parliament.
