J&K Policeman protects old woman from pro-ISIS stone pelters

Jammu & Kashmir: The stark difference of ethos of India and the sick mindset of Islamic State supporters were on display today at Baramullah in Jammu and Kashmir when a J&K policeman protected an elderly woman from stones thrown at civilians by Islamic State (ISIS) supporters reports Times Now.

The clashes broke out after Eid prayers when a mob of ISIS supporters started throwing stones at civilians. The woman would have been hit by the volley of stones had she not been shielded by the policeman.

The woman was crossing a bridge when the stone pelting began from her behind. She cried out to the police for help. A police officer responded quickly and protected her from the stones and safely brought her to the other side.

The bravery of the policeman is lauded in the media for showing the true spirit of Eid while the self-proclaimed protectors of Islam were trying to hurt Muslims by throwing stones at them.

Indian security forces have time and again showed exemplary conduct towards the people of Jammu and Kashmir when the state was hit by natural disasters and in tense situations such as this. Yet the media and political parties cook up a distorted image of Indian security forces to keep the narrative of India as an oppressor.
