Islamabad: Pakistan has sent a letter to the External Affairs Office seeking bilateral talks on ‘all important matters’. The letter comes after Sushma Swaraj’s successor S Jaisankar took charge in the Ministry of External Affairs.
Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said in his letter that’Islamabad wants to hold talks with New Delhi on all important matters…..committed to all efforts to establish peace in the region’. Pak PM has mentioned the same in his letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Imran Khan in his congratulatory letter to Narendra Modi for assuming office for the second term, also mentioned that Pakistan wants talks to resolve all issues.
Imran Khan had extended his wishes last month to Narendra Modi saying that he is ‘looking forward to working with him for peace, progress and progress in South Asia’.
