Thiruvananthapuram: The low pressure formed near Lakshadweep in Arabian sea has intensified into cyclone ‘vayu’.The cyclone’vayu’ is moving towards Gujarat coastal areas. Meteorological Department added that wind speeding 60 kilometres may hit Kerala with very heavy rain.
Rough sea with high waves and gusty wind is predicted. Weather department has also warned fishermen not to venture into sea where low pressure has formed. North western Bengal sea, Lakshadweep, Kerala-Karnataka coastal areas and Lakshadweep areas adjoining Arabian sea are the areas predicted of rain and wind.
The Meteorological Department has warned heavy rains are likely to experience in Kerala today and tomorrow. Yellow alert is declared today and orange alert for tomorrow in various districts of the state. Three people lost their lives last day in the state due to heavy rain.
