Ahmedabad: Vayu has changed its track and is now moving towards north west direction. IMD has stated that Vayu will not hit the shores of Gujarat, rather, will move parallel to the coast. The Department also informed that the cyclone will create heavy rain and rough wind. It is expected that the cyclone will move on to north-northwest region.
Nearly three lakh people have been evacuated to safer locations from Kachch and Sourashtra coastal areas. At present, the wind is speeding at 135-145 km and moving towards Veraval. The wind will be severe in Goa as well as in Maharashtra coastal areas.
