New Delhi: As the vote counting progresses in four states, the BJP has emerged as the front-runner in two key states- Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. In Rajasthan, the BJP is leading in 126 seats, while the Congress is trailing with 61 seats. Similarly, in Madhya Pradesh, the BJP is ahead with 150 seats, leaving the Congress behind with 79 seats.
Chhattisgarh witnesses a closely contested battle, with the Congress currently leading in 46 seats, and the BJP closely behind with 43 seats. The margin between the two parties is a mere 3 seats, marking a significant challenge for the Congress. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel’s trailing, despite the party’s narrow lead, adds to the setback for the Congress in the state.
Meanwhile, in Telangana, the Congress is leading with 64 seats, followed by BRS with 41 seats and the BJP with 8 seats.
