Maharashtra: Days long incessant rain has claimed forty lives and heavy loss in various parts of the state. 22 people have died due to a wall collapse at Kurar village,Pimparipada, in Malad East. Maharashtra Government has declared a public holiday on Tuesday. Road, rail and air services have been badly affected. 16 people were killed in a rain-related mishaps in Thane. At least three lost lives in another wall collapse in Klayan.
Maharashtra Chief Minister has requested people to stay indoors till the weather becomes normal.Around thousand people have been shifted to safe areas on Tuesday.
