New Delhi: In preparation for the upcoming Republic Day celebrations, the Border Security Force (BSF) has heightened security measures along the Indo-Pak border. Operation Sard Hawa, a strategic initiative, will be in effect for the next 15 days, with a particular focus on the borders of Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Gujarat.
As part of this heightened security protocol, additional personnel will be deployed to enhance the safety of the border regions. Usually, security is reinforced along the border as January 26 approaches each year. This year, the Republic Day festivities coincide with the Prana Pratishtha (consecration) ceremony of the Ayodhya Ram Temple, scheduled for January 22. In light of these two events, the security measures have been extended for a period of 15 days to maintain vigilance and address any potential security challenges during this timeframe.
