Chennai: Ahead of the ‘Prana Pratishtha’ (Consecration) ceremony of the Ayodhya Ram Temple scheduled for January 22, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Lord Sri Ram temples in Tamil Nadu.
As part of his two-day visit to Tamil Nadu, this morning Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple at Srirangam, Tiruchirapalli, and offered prayers. The Prime Minister was honoured with a Poorna Kumbh by the temple priests. Later, he attended a discourse on Ramayana and meditated at the Kambar Arangam.
Upon his arrival, the Prime Minister was greeted by a huge crowd along his route. He acknowledged the crowd, waving to them from his vehicle.
Subsequently, the Prime Minister reached Rameswaram at around 2 pm to perform Darshan and Pooja at the Sri Arulmigu Ramanathaswamy Temple, Rameswaram.
Tomorrow, on January 21, the PM will visit Kothandaramaswamy Temple in Dhanushkodi and offer prayers. It is also reported that the PM will visit Arichal Munai near Dhanushkodi, the place from where the Ram Setu was built.
