Mumbai:Congress minister D K Sivakumar, on his move to convince the rebel Cogress MLAs, reached at Renaissance Mumbai Convention Centre Hotel this morning. But Mumbai Police denied his entry as rebel MLAs sought protection saying that they are being threatened by D K Sivakumar.
The disappointed Congress leader informed police that his friends are staying in the hotel and he has reached there to talk to them.
“I have come to meet my friends who I have been associated with for three to four decades. They are unhappy with us for some reason. It does not mean all is over,” Shivakumar responded to media.
Seven Congress MLAs, Three JD(S) MLAs and two independent MLAs are in Hotel Renaissance since Saturday.Rebel MLAs have approached Supreme Court, blaming the Speaker of abandoning his duty and making delay in accepting resignations. The Supreme Court will consider the matter tomorrow.
Meantime, BJP leader B S Yeddyurappa has informed that they will conduct a dharna in front of Vidhan Sabha and they will meet the Speaker and the Governor.
