New Delhi: With just months remaining before the Lok Sabha elections, 15 prominent leaders from Tamil Nadu, mostly from AIADMK (All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam), have joined the BJP. The leaders joined BJP in a ceremony held in New Delhi today.
Former AIADMK minister Gomathi Srinivasan, former Karur MLA K. Vadivel, former MLA R. Duraisamy, P.S. Kandasamy, M.V. Ratnam, R. Chinnasamy, S.M. Vaasan, S. Muthukrishnan, P.S. Arul, R. Rajendran, A. Prabhu, V.R. Jayaraman, K Balasubramanian, A. Chandrasekharan, and senior Congress worker K.R. Thankaras were among those who joined the BJP today.BJP Tamil Nadu President Annamalai, along with Union Ministers Rajeev Chandrasekhar and L Murugan, welcomed the new party members.
