New Delhi: Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) president Jayant Chaudhary has confirmed that the party will join the BJP-led NDA. Jayant Choudhary also stated that this is a unanimous decision taken by everyone in the party. This move of the RLD is a heavy blow to the opposition front, the I.N.D.I Alliance.
“This decision was taken after consulting with all MLAs and workers of the party. I wish to do something good for the country and the people,” said Jayant Chaudhary.
He had earlier expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister for posthumously conferring the Bharat Ratna upon his grandfather and former Prime Minister, Chaudhary Charan Singh.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi has done what previous governments could not do. This award is not confined to our family or party. This is a proud moment for every farmer and youth,” Jayant Chaudhary said.
Meanwhile, reports surfaced the other day that the Congress is planning to cut down the days of the ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ in Uttar Pradesh and will avoid parts of Western UP, which is influenced by the RLD. The Congress’s move came after there were indications that the RLD would join the NDA.
