Lucknow: Union Minister Smriti Irani, along with her husband Zubin Irani, performed the ‘Griha Pravesh’ (housewarming) rituals at her new residence in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh. This event marks the fulfillment of her promise to the people of Amethi, demonstrating her commitment to always being with them. In 2021, Smriti Irani purchased a land to build this house, which is located at Sultanpur in Gauriganj.
The Union Minister, Smriti Irani, invited everyone, including leaders and the general public, to attend the function.
Images of Lord Rama and Hanuman are inscribed on the outer wall of the house.
Amethi district BJP President Ram Prasad Mishra praised Smriti Irani’s decision to build a house to focus more on her constituency, while earlier leaders who won from Amethi failed to look after the constituency.
Ram Prasad Mishra also said that when Smriti Irani contested for the first time in Amethi, the Congress leaders criticized her for not being a native of Amethi. However, over the last five years, Smriti Irani has made every effort to bring development to Amethi. Henceforth, the criticism from Congress leaders regarding Smriti Irani’s non-native status will come to an end.
