Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to release the 16th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme today, providing financial assistance to millions of farmer beneficiaries nationwide. The government will transfer over Rs 21,000 crore directly to the bank accounts of nine crore farmers under this initiative, with each beneficiary farmer receiving Rs 2000.
The release of the 16th installment will take place during an event in Maharashtra’s Yavatmal district, reaffirming the government’s commitment to supporting the agricultural community. Since its inception, more than 11 crore farmers have benefited from the scheme.
Under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme, farmers receive Rs 6,000 annually, aimed at addressing their financial needs and ensuring their economic stability. The 15th installment was previously disbursed on November 27, 2023.
Launched on February 24, 2019, the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana continues to play a crucial role in providing essential financial assistance to farmers across the country.
