Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarked on a captivating journey through Assam’s renowned Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve, engaging in both elephant and jeep safaris on Saturday morning. In his inaugural visit to this UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Prime Minister dedicated two hours to exploring its natural wonders.
Commencing his expedition with an elephant safari in the Mihimukh area of the Central Kohora Range within the park, PM Modi then proceeded with a thrilling jeep safari in the same vicinity. PM Modi personally fed sugarcane to three elephants – Lakhimai, Pradyumna, and Phoolmai – during his exploration of Kaziranga National Park.
Engaging with the dedicated members of ‘Van Durga’, an esteemed team of women forest guards leading conservation efforts, as well as elephant mahouts and forest officials, the Prime Minister expressed his admiration for their relentless dedication.
