Coimbatore: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a roadshow today in Coimbatore. Earlier, the Tamil Nadu Police objected to Modi conducting the roadshow in Coimbatore. However, the Madras High Court granted permission with reasonable conditions.
Following the denial by the Tamil Nadu Police, Coimbatore BJP district President J Ramesh Kumar filed a plea to the High Court, mentioning that the TN police denied permission for political reasons, favoring the ruling DMK government.
According to the latest reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold the roadshow this evening in Coimbatore, covering over 4 km from Mettupalayam Road to RS Puram. The people of Coimbatore have arranged a grand reception to welcome today’s roadshow.
