Thrissur: One of the participants who attended yesterday’s Janam TV ‘Janasabha’ programme held in Chalakudy, Thrissur district, vehemently lashed out at the Pinarayi government and CPI(M), accusing them of destroying Kerala. The man, named Lal, stated that democracy in Kerala is on the brink of collapse.
He said that the ruling of the Pinarayi government has put an end to democracy in Kerala, as people are unable to voice their dissent against the arrogant government or hold protests freely. Lal also expressed concern that protesters would be suppressed by the police.
He then referred to an incident where Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan was addressing the public through a microphone which malfunctioned due to technical issues, following which the police seized all the audio system equipment of the contractor. Lal cited such actions as examples of the strange occurrences during the Pinarayi government’s tenure. He argued that the CPI(M) has consistently undermined democracy in the country.
Lal blamed C Raveendranath (Minister for Education in the first Pinarayi Cabinet) and KT Jaleel (Minister for Higher Education in the first Pinarayi Cabinet) for spoiling the education system in Kerala.
During the programme, he questioned why the Pinarayi government, which describes itself as the ‘People’s government,’ is not fulfilling the requests of the Civil Police Officer (CPO) rank-listed candidates who have been protesting for several days in front of the Thiruvananthapuram secretariat for their appointment orders.
He accused the Kerala government of extravagant expenditures using taxpayer money while claiming a financial crisis and failing to disburse funds for essential needs.
